Edward L. Woodyard

          Ed Woodyard has more than 35 years of experience in marketing and corporate communications.  An award-winning journalist and former screenwriter, Ed has worked in publishing, promotion, public relations and new product introduction in New York City, representing dozens of clients from industrial and consumer products to professional and personal services.  He holds professional memberships in editorial and educational groups and was awarded a bachelors degree from the esteemed University of Missouri School of Journalism and a graduate degree from California Institute of the Arts.  With additional studies at UCLA and Yale, he has been honored for his humanitarian service in his hometown as well as on a state level.  The father of a college graduate (Colgate) and a college student (Stanford), he lives in Armonk, New York with his wife of 33 years, Nancy. 

           Ed began his college admissions consultancy in 1998 from which evolved his company, CollegeAdvice, in January 2002.  It has since grown from being locally based in Westchester County, New York and the New York City metropolitan area into a national and international enterprise with clients from Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Illinois, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey,  North Carolina, Vermont and Texas, as well as Austria, Brazil, China, Great Britain, Japan, Korea, South Africa and Switzerland. 

      Ed also consults on private secondary school placements and graduate school admissions, particularly medical, law and business schools.  A member of the New York State Association of College Admission Counselors, he boasts a 98% “first choice” acceptance rate of his clients getting into their “first choice” colleges and universities; his first paid client attended Harvard.
